The convenient floor plan includes a full kitchen with all the usual small appliances, a full bath with tub/shower combination, a queen bed, dresser and TV in the bedroom, and a comfortable queen sleeper sofa and flat screen TV in the living room. WIFI is available at no charge as is a washer and dryer just a few steps from your door. All linens, dishes and cooking equipment are included. Ocean Beach is a charming, old-fashioned beach town with many restaurants, cafes, shops, antique stores, a wonderful bakery, and a market, all within easy walking distance. There are two tiny beaches just a little over two blocks from the cottage, and the main beach and the famous Ocean Beach Pier are less than half a mile away. A delightful farmers’ market is held every Wednesday afternoon with delicious treats and ethnic dishes as well as flowers, crafts and entertainment and, of course, lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. The many attractions that San Diego has to offer are easily accessible by car. Sea World is only three miles away as is the San Diego International Airport. Harbor Island, with its wonderful seafood restaurants, is even closer. A scenic drive out to the end of Point Loma takes you to The Cabrillo National Monument with its sweeping views of the city and bay. A twelve to fifteen minute drive takes you to Downtown San Diego, Seaport Village, the Embarcadero, with its Maritime and Midway museums, as well as to Balboa Park, home of the world famous San Diego Zoo and botanical gardens. The 1,200 acre park hosts seventeen museums, the artist studios and shops of Spanish Village, and The Old Globe Theater, as well as many other attractions which will give you hours (and even days or weeks) of enjoyment, education and fun. San Diego County is an amazing place where a two hour drive takes you from the seashore through the coastal plains, high desert, foothills, forested mountains (Be sure to visit the charming and historic gold mining town of Julian), and on down into the Anza Borrego Desert. Few places in the world have the variety of landscapes and ecosystems available here. We love Ocean Beach, which is why we wouldn’t want to live anyplace else. We hope you will like it too!
